A swim spa is one pool-like tub for swimming, exercise, and relaxing with your family. Kids can play.

Adults can sit in hot jet seats and relax.

It also has a current you swim against, so it works like a gym tool too. You can make the current easy or hard.

It also has hot tub jets, stays warm all year, and is usually set up in one day.

Most families want one place outside where everyone can have fun together. Kids can play.

Adults can relax in the warm jets.

Some people want a workout. The current lets you swim, walk, or row at a speed you choose.

Many older adults or people with sore joints also like it. Warm water exercise can make moving easier.

A swim spa costs less, takes less space, and works all year. A pool does not.

A pool needs weekly cleaning, chemicals, and regular repairs. A swim spa is more like a hot tub.

You just check the water once or twice a week and clean the filter.

No pro help is needed, it never needs resurfacing, and it can be set up in about a day.

A swim spa costs much less than an inground pool. A pool can take months to build and costs tens of thousands more.

A swim spa can be set up in days. You can use it every day of the year, unlike a pool.

Prices change based on size and features, and whether it has one or two temperature zones. There is a wide range of prices, and financing can make it easier to afford.

It costs less than most people think, especially here in the Pacific Northwest. Our electricity is about 40% cheaper than the national average.

A swim spa costs a bit more to run than a hot tub because it is bigger and has extra equipment for the current. A good cover and strong insulation help keep costs down.

We make sure every spa we recommend has both.

A well-made swim spa usually lasts 15 to 20 years with good care. The shell and outer cabinet last a long time.

Parts like pumps and heaters usually last 7 to 10 years and can be replaced.

Keeping the water balanced is the biggest key to a long life. Spas with poorly kept water wear out much faster.

Yes. The Pacific Northwest is a great place for a swim spa.

It is heated and insulated, so it works in every season, with no shutting down for winter.

Many people here use it most in fall and winter. Our cheap hydroelectric power also helps keep running costs low all year.

A dual-temperature swim spa has two sections in one tub. One end stays cooler, around 80°F, for swimming.

The other end is a hot tub that reaches 104°F.

Kids can swim while adults relax in hot water, at the same time. Cooler water is also better for a hard workout.

It is one of our most popular styles. Come see one in person.

A swim spa needs less care than a pool, more like a hot tub. Check the water once or twice a week, clean the filter often, and drain and refill it twice a year.

No pro service is needed for normal care, and it never needs resurfacing.

Every swim spa we sell comes with a Frog @ease system. It handles most of the daily chemical work for you.

A machine inside makes a smooth current that you swim, walk, or run against. You choose the speed that matches your goal, from a slow walk to a hard swim workout.

It is hard to know how the current feels just by reading about it. Book an in-water test swim with us to try it yourself.

Swim spas are usually 12 to 19 feet long and 7 to 8 feet wide. They can sit above ground, partly in the ground, or fully in the ground.

Setup is much simpler than a pool. You just need a flat surface and a power hookup, no digging or plumbing work needed.

Before delivery, think about three things: space, surface, and electrical.

  • Space: it is 12 to 19 feet long and 7 to 8 feet wide. Check your path and leave room on the sides.
  • Surface: you need a solid, flat base, like concrete. Grass or dirt will not work.
  • Electrical: you need a dedicated 240V line from an electrician.

Check with your local building office about permits early.

How warranty repairs go depends on your dealer. Many dealers send you to outside repair companies you do not know.

At Black Pine, we have run our own repair team since 1981. If something goes wrong, you deal with us directly, the same people who sold you the spa.
